Abstract:

The analysis of clinical, immunologic and genetic traits revealed specific features of uncontrolled course of BA in children rather than controlled BA The parameters that have been measured in our study were include serum level of IgE blood eosinophiles level ,both cytokins of IL10 andIL4 and genotyping of both these cytokine at C597A and C590T bands respectively. The character of changes in the levels of cytokines in blood serum can be considered as a biomarker of uncontrolled course of atopic BA in children. This is based on the assumption that co-activation occurs in both Th1- and Th2 lymphocytes, as confirmed by high levels of cytokine IL-4. We found that serum level of IgE and eosinophiles and IL4 were elevated in bronchial asthma group versus control healthy group also there were decrease level of IL10 in asthma group From these measured parameters we found that uncontrolled bronchial asthma group were associated with more elevated parameters rather than that found in controlled bronchial asthma group. The genetic study of both IL4& IL10 in our study found that allelic genotypes were found in bronchial asthma group versus control group and its prevalence was more in uncontrolled bronchial asthma group versus controllred bronchial asthma but finally with no statistically significant importance The measured immunological parameters were have role in differentiating between controlled and uncontrolled bronchial asthma group rather than to diagnose bronchial asthma.
