Abstract:

Effect of lattice defects induced by doping elements of Ti, Sn and Nb on the thermal annealing of γ-irradiation damage in Fe2O3 was investigated. The results showed that the initial damage concentration and the susceptibility to thermal annealing depend on the type of doping elements. For the same doiping concentration they increasein the order Ti>Sn>Nb. The rate of the thermal annealing was also increased in the same order Ti>Sn>Nb. This can be interpreted as the difference in the rate of diffusion of these elements in Fe2O3.
