The study aims to assess the impact of Bulgarian bag training on certain physical abilities and the performance level of the handstand swing on parallel bars, a fundamental skill in gymnastics. The research employs an experimental method using two groups of students from the Faculty of Physical Education, dividing the sample into an experimental group and a control group.
**Research Objective:**
The objective of the research is to identify the impact of Bulgarian bag training on:
- Some physical abilities such as muscular strength, balance, and muscular endurance.
- The performance level of the handstand swing on parallel bars.
**Research Procedures:**
The researcher used the experimental method, selecting a random sample of second-year students from the Faculty of Physical Education at Benha University. The sample consisted of 27 students, with 20 students forming the main sample divided equally into experimental and control groups. Traditional tools were used to measure physical and skill variables, and a training program using the Bulgarian bag was implemented over eight weeks.
**Results:**
The results showed statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-measurements in physical abilities and skill performance of the handstand swing, favoring the experimental group. These findings suggest that Bulgarian bag training can be effective in improving physical and skill performance in gymnastics.
**Conclusion:**
The study highlights the importance of integrating Bulgarian bag training into gymnastics training programs due to its positive impact on physical abilities and skill performance, particularly in enhancing the handstand swing on parallel bars.
