The Impact of Landmine Barbell Training on Certain Physical Variables and the Performance Level of the Major Front Circle Skill on the Horizontal Bar**
Research Objective:
The research aims to study the effect of landmine barbell training on improving certain physical variables (such as strength and flexibility) and the performance level of the major front circle skill on the horizontal bar.
Research Methodology and Sample:
The researcher used the experimental method, selecting 11 young athletes from Benha Sports Club as an experimental group. The training program was applied using landmine barbell exercises for 8 weeks, with 3 training sessions per week.
Data Collection Tools:
Several physical tests were used to evaluate strength and flexibility, in addition to measuring the performance level of the major front circle skill on the horizontal bar by experienced judges.
Pilot Study:
A pilot study was conducted to verify the validity of the tools and exercises used, as well as to adjust the intensity of performance and rest periods.
Research Results:*
The results showed a statistically significant improvement in the physical variables and the performance level of the major front circle skill after applying landmine barbell training. This indicates the effectiveness of these exercises in developing the physical abilities related to performing the major front circle skill on the horizontal bar, facilitating the learning process and enhancing the athletes' performance in this essential skill.
Conclusions and Recommendations:
The researcher concluded that landmine barbell training is an effective method for improving physical and technical abilities in gymnastics. The study recommends broader application of these exercises in training programs for gymnasts and suggests conducting future studies to determine their impact on other skills and apparatuses.
