Abstract:

Research Summary: The field of arbitration in volleyball has witnessed a great change recently, so it is important that we seek scientific research to advance the field of arbitration, and multiple entries to achieve this goal. Perhaps the researcher's choice to study and know the psychological skills that must be available in the volleyball sport rulers is one of the determinants that can be relied upon. In the process of qualifying athletes for referees, they are leaders who have been empowered by law to make decisions and make judgments in sports competitions that are important to competitors and those responsible for them. And it has become necessary for the referees to be a high degree of accuracy and skill in the application of the law and provisions, as the referee has a great responsibility, so such sports need a high degree of selection and access to a large degree of accuracy in the selection of referees, and thus volleyball is one of Those sports that require precise specifications in choosing their referees, whether from a psychological or a mental aspect. Research objective This research aims to design a measure of the psychological skills of volleyball referees by: 1. Knowledge of the distinctive psychological skills of volleyball referees. 2. Knowing the differences in psychological skills between volleyball referees according to their level of degrees (international – national- first class - second degree - third degree). Recommendations Interest in applying the proposed psychological skills scale to referees in referees ’promotions courses. 1. Paying attention to the judges ’awareness of the importance of the role played by sports psychology in raising the level of performance. 2. Conducting specialized training courses to present what is new in the field of mental training, and training in the development and design of specialized psychological (mental) programs. 3. Conducting more research on the referees in volleyball to raise the arbitration level. 4. Conducting more applied research in the field of psychological preparation for the rulers of various sports activities. 5. Attention to the process of selecting and qualifying referees in volleyball
