Abstract:

Serum total sialic acid, serum cholesterol and plasma fibrinogen were assayed in fifteen patients (10 males and 5 females) who had a myocardial infarction. Their ages ranged 45- 58, with a mean age of 52 ± 3.5 years. Another fifteen normal individuals (9 males and 6 females) were used as a control group.
