Abstract:

The current study examined the level of emotional intelligence, as a personality trait, and the level of hope among young people. The participants 517 students from the Benha University, of whom 246 Male and 271 female, average age (20.43 + 1.02). Participants responded to Snyder hope Scale and Emotional intelligence Questionnaire (Short form). The results showed there are high levels of hope among the participants (24.7 + 3.13), with an effective interaction between gender and specialty (f (1, 493) = 5.7, p = 0.017). The results also showed that the participants have a higher degree of emotional intelligence (4.66+ 0.71), with an effective interaction between age and culture factors (P ( 2, 493) = 3.14, p
