Normally, positioning with GPS can be performed by either of two ways: single point positioning SPP, or differential (relative) positioning
DGPS. SPP employs one GPS receiver, while
DGPS employs two (or more) GPS receivers simultaneously tracking the same satellites. No
attention was paid before for the autonomous
position produced automatically by default by all
receivers’ types. Additionally, it is known, that no
autonomous solution produced by code-phase,
only code solution is registered in all published
sources which was found today. The current research pays attention to how the autonomous
solution can be improved. Also it submits a new
algorithm based upon utilizing both code and
phase produced by single frequency receiver. In
this algorithm a trial was done to improve the
ambiguities values of the phase which was reflected on the obtained autonomous positioning.
Finally two tests were conducted, one in static
mode and the other in kinematic mode. The
analysis results show a remarkable performance
in the quality of the obtained autonomous positioning. |
