| Abstract: |
Due to the anatomical intricacy of the extremities, wound assessment must be meticulous. Coverage planning should account for tissue availability, function, and cosmesis. While local flaps suffice for smaller defects, extensive wounds necessitate early debridement via the pseudotumor technique, with free flap reconstruction completed within three days of injury when clinically feasible. We aim to confirm the versatility of using the free thoracodorsal artery perforator flaps for reconstructing soft tissue defects in the extremities, observe the appearance of the donor area and the recovery of extremities' function after surgery, and the role of preoperative CT angiography for perforator mapping on outcome. |
