Abstract:

Saudi folklore has a unique taste that blends originality with modernity, and the scent of history emanates from it. Folklore is considered one of the pillars of the Saudi national identity, as it is the vessel from which it derives its faith, traditions, authentic values, language, and ideas. There is no doubt that caring for folklore is a necessity and a national duty because of its human and historical benefits, and it's the main motive and goal behind conducting this research paper in addition to highlighting the role of Saudi folklore in supporting and developing small and micro traditional industries. The most notable results of the research are the contribution to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by increasing awareness of the importance of heritage products and traditional crafts associated with them. The paper recommended focusing on workshops and establishing academies for training traditional arts and crafts to preserve them from decline and extinction.
