Abstract:

Islamic art has significantly impacted contemporary artistic production; due to its rich aesthetic and cognitive yield that contributed to the development of contemporary design with all its forms and techniques. Islamic legacy has a unique individual identity that has its own influence on various modern arts and literature, thus; Islamic art – with all its aesthetic elements and units- has hugely contributed to contemporary design in general, in regards to the affirmation of design uniqueness and identity; which appears in the design through many indications; including written language (fonts & writings), drawings, chartings, colors used in the design and religious and environmental beliefs. The problem of this research is how to benefit from the aesthetic values of Islamic art in creating formulations and processing for jewelry, which keep pace with the modern era and match its particulars.
