Abstract:

Circular economy and cleaner production are concepts aimed at minimizing waste and obtaining sustainable benefits from natural resources and industrial wastes. They involve designing high-quality products with longer lifespans and utilizing renewable energy sources to preserve the planet's natural resources. These strategies aim to improve the production process, reduce pollution, enhance health, reduce costs, create job opportunities, and support local economies. The problem of this research can be summed up in how to minimize the negative impacts on the environment and reduce waste and hazardous gas emissions caused by the expansion of metal products industries. The research aims to increase the awareness of circular economy and cleaner production and their importance as it presumes that following the concepts of circular economy in all stages of metal product design and manufacture should minimize waste and help reduce costs for the producers and users. It uses an analytical-descriptive methodology to study metal product models and their application to the circular economy and cleaner production concepts. The research concludes that metal products are long-term, recyclable, and reused due to their raw materials. These can help industrial enterprises adopt the circular economy work model and create a zero-waste closed loop, producing sustainable, eco-friendly products. The research recommends providing more support and guidance for Egyptian factories to adopt the circular economy work model, benefiting from its effective role in cost reduction, economic growth, and limiting negative environmental impacts.
