Abstract:

Background: Millions of people worldwide develop dengue fever, an illness spread by mosquitoes each year. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of instructional guidelines on prevention of dengue fever among rural women. Design: A quasi- experimental design was utilized. Setting: The study was conducted at Sindenhur Rural Health Unit in Benha City Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt. Sampling: Simple random sample was used to carry out this study. Total sample size included 226 women. Tools of data collection: One tool was used in this study; An interviewing tool consisting of four sections representing socio-demographic characteristics, home environment, women` knowledge about dengue fever and women` reported practices regarding prevention of dengue fever.
