Abstract:

The results revealed that application of stigmasterol to salt-stressed flax plants causing significantly increased in growth parameters, membrane stability index, photosynthetic pigment and carbohydrate contents compared with salt-stressed plants untreated with stigmasterol. The level of antioxidant system components (catalase, ascorbic acid peroxidase) and reduced glutathione with increased in response to stigmasterol treatment.
