Abstract:

Video transmission over error prone networks, such as the Internet and wireless networks, requires some methods of receiver-side video enhancement to achieve good quality. In this paper, we present a receiver-side video enhancement component to be augmented on the receiver (decoder) side to minimize errors and noise that exist in the received video. This component is characterized by using light-weight algorithms for enhancement in order to use less power which makes it suitable for battery-operated devices such as laptops and mobiles.
