Abstract: |
Urinary bladder cancer ranks the ninth in the worldwide cancer incidence (Ploeg, et al, 2009). According to WHO, transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) accounts for 90% of all bladder tumors (Koyuncuer, 2013). In Egypt, according to NCI registry, urinary bladder carcinoma constituted 12.22% of total malignant tumors. There was a significant rise in the incidence of TCC in Egypt in the last years. In the cancer registry during the years 1985- 1989, TCC represented 30.89% of all bladder cancers. This incidence raised to 64.20% during the years 2003-2004 |
