| Abstract: |
White-fly and leafhoppers cuticle wax was extracted by several organic solvents. The most efficient of which was. Acetone/Toluene 1:1 mixture 0.03 5, 0.046 followed by extracted wax obtained from two grams of white-fly and two grains of leafhoppers (Salem 1999). Three plant; Jojoba oils, Corn oils and sunflower oils were evaluated under laboratory and field conditions for their effects as wetting agents on the potato white-fly and leafhoppers. Mortality percentages were evaluated 24hrs after application. Jojoba proved to be superior in reduction of white-fly and leafhoppers numbers. |
