Abstract:

The main objective of this research is to determine the effect of organizational silence as a mediating variable in the relationship between job fear and job burnout, Applied on Egyptian Government Universities, through a review of previous studies in this regard, A proposed model for research hypotheses was designed to illuminate causal relationships between the variables, Based on structural equation modeling, and path analysis to illustrate the strength of the linear relationship between research variables using (AMOS.V.22) program. In order to collect primary data, a questionnaire has designed Includes three scales: the Job Fear Scale, the Organizational Silence Scale, and the Job Burnout Scale, the tests were conducted to assess the validity and Reliability of the research variables scales. The questionnaire was directed to a sample of the Faculty Members' Assistants in Four Government Universities which include (Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Zagazig University, Benha University). The sample size was (384 individuals) and the response was (286 individuals) with 74.4% of the total sample size. The findings shows that there is a statistically significant Positive Effect of Job Fear on both Organizational Silence and job Burnout. The results also found statistically significant Positive effect of Organizational Silence on Job Burnout. The results also found that Organizational Silence mediates the relationship between Job Fear and Job Burnout. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences according to social status and work duration in relation to job fear, organizational silence and job burnout, and no statistically significant differences between male and female opinions regarding job fear and organizational silence, and also no statistically significant differences According to age with respect to job fear and job burnout, while there are statistically significant differences in the opinions of males and females regarding job burnout in favor of females, and there are also statistically significant differences according to age in organizational silence, where it was found that there is a positive relationship between aging and organizational silence. .
