Abstract:

Two field experiments were conducted to find out the effect of, P, Zn and Mn on yield and chemical content of field bean seeds. Soil application of P at rates of 15 and 30 Kg P2O5/fed had no effect on plant height number of branches/plant. number of pods/plant, number of seeds/plant and weight of seeds/plant. On the other hand application of 15 Kg P2O5/fed. significantly increased weight of 100 seed. Moreover, seed yield/fed increased by 9 and 17% in the first season, and by 9 and 8% in the second seasons due to appli¬cation of 15 and 30 kg P2O5/fed. over the control treatment, respectively. Foliar application of Zn or Mn significantly increased plant height, number of seeds/plant weight of seeds/plant and weight of 100 seeds. The first concentration (0.03%) significantly increased the previous characters over the control treatments. In addition, foliar application of the first concentration 0.03% Zn caused a significant increase in the seed yield/fed, only. The increase were 12 and 17% in the first and second seasons more than the con¬trol treatment, respectively
