Two field experiments were carried out at the Agricultuer and Experiments of moshtohor during 1992 and 1993 seasons. This study aimed to/md
oui يh eJfrct qf three planting methods (‘broadcast, in rows and on
furrows) using four differe,i seeding rates (7.5. 15.0. 22.5 and 30
kgfecl.) and Iwo nitrogen application levels (‘30 and 60 kg N fed.) on
fodder sorghum yield and ils compoiiei?I.s Pioneer 988 cultivar was
used for this siudi,. Results could he summari:ed as follows.
l’/cniting sorghum in rows reduced fresh and dry weight of
weeds per square meter/or the two dits. The highest ‘aha’.v of leaf so
stein ratio oit dry malter basis. snunher of stems per xquare i?I’Ier.
fresh and diyforagL’ yielًfed. as is’ell as the total fresh and dry forage
yields were obtained frons planiing in rows. A /so, furrows planiing
gave the ia!kst plautis. Whereas, hroadcasi seed,nç’ produced the vhorie.vi p/ants, lowest leaf lo stein rallo on dry mailer basis, lowest fresh and dry forage yield per frd. No significani difference was OhkiiflL’d between planting iii rows and on furrows on total fresh and dry forage yields fed. |
