Psoriasis is a common, chronic, inflammatory, multisystem disease with predominantly skin and joint manifestations affecting approximately 2% of the population. In this study, we give an overview of psoriasis including its cardinal clinical features, pathogenesis, classification, assessment tools used to evaluate it and different biomarkers for the disease.
The present study aims at evaluating serum 8-OHdG as a reliable biomarker in psoriasis by measuring its level in psoriatic patients before and after methotrexate (MTX) therapy.
