( fluorolmmunoaaaay ) waa firat used with auccesa in detection of antibodies againat T_. lewiai houiogenatea. Theae antibodies were preaent in aerum of infected rata in a high level after two weeks from infection and in a lower level after aix weeks. These antibodies are specific against T_. lewisi and not present in uninfected*rats. The teat is easy, rapid and specific, we hope to apply it in human cases of trypanosomiasia.
