Abstract: |
The indirect flourscent antidody technique was performed to detedt Toxoplasma anibodies in sers of 700 cases.500 randomly selected cases attending to the outpatient clinic of Benha Faculty of Medicine and 200 suspected cases from Obstetric , Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine and Surgery Department.The general positivity rate recorded was 14.57% . In the random group, antibodies were recorded more in females than in males especially above 40 years, with no difference between rural and urban cases.In the suspected group, antibodies were recovered from 24% of obstetric group, 15% of hepatosplenomegaly group,18.5% of prolonged fever group, 28.57% of ophthalmic groupand 40% of localized lymphadenopathy group. |
