Abstract:

Filariform larvae of Strongyloidesstercolaris can live in dark to about 10 days .Direct sunlight was found to be lethal to the larvae within two days .The favourable temperature to its life cycle is between 20 ◦C- 27◦C .Many chemicals were used for their larvicidal action ,potassium chloride ,sodium nitrate ,ammonium sulphate ,sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid in various concentrations of 5%,2.5%,1%,0.5% and 0.25%.
