Abstract:

The present research aimed at ensuring the theoretical perceptions related to: successful intelligence according to Sterrburg's perception, statistical self-efficacy according to Bandurra's perception and statistics stress according to Cruise et al. perception. Moreover, it is possible to make sure of the causal proposed model which shows the path of effect and efficacy relationships between: self efficacy according to Bandurra's model (efficacy expectations, results expectations), successful intelligence with its three competences (analytical, practical, creative) according to Sterrburg's model and statistics stress with its different components (data interpretation stress, classroom and test stress, fear of asking help, fear of teachers of statistics, shortage of statistics competence, the low level of mathematical self-concept) among a sample of (228, male and female) professional diploma students at the faculty of education, Benha university. The present researcher prepared a scale to identify statistics self-efficacy, another scale to identify successful intelligence competences, also Statistics Stress rating Scale (translated by, El-Sayed Abo-Hashem, 2002). The results indicated that the proposed model was achieved. Furthermore, a statistically significant positive reciprocal effects (positive reciprocal path) was found between the three domains of successful intelligence (analytical competence, pratical competence, creative competence). Also, the present research showed that self-efficacy mediates the path of relationships between successful intelligence competences and statistics stress. The research provided some recommendations to those who are responsible for university management and to stuff members who teach educational statistics course.
