Abstract:

The development of materials technology in recent decades has witnessed many distinguished projects, which aim to preserve the environment and energy and reduce pollution. Environmental design principles have been taken as the basis of architectural thought, starting from the early design stages, and ending with the selection of appropriate building materials and raw materials to achieve sustainable interior design spaces that reduce their negative impact on the environment and preserve its resources and ecosystems as much as possible. Modern technologies have been utilized in developing architectural, interior design and furniture methods to confront climatic and environmental developments, as linking technology, smart technologies and sustainable materials to the environment has contributed to achieving functional and intellectual flexibility in design, enhancing productivity and well-being and preserving resources, which has provided ease and comfort for the user. The use of building materials throughout the history of architecture has been one of the most important factors influencing architectural thought, and the transfer of building techniques to another form has led to the development of the concept of using building materials in the construction process, which has led to the emergence of new forms of materials, the most important of which are smart technological materials.
