This investigation was carried out during two successive seasons (2015/2016 and 2016/2017)
under green- house conditions at Horticultural Research Institute garden "Giza- Egypt". Four citrus
rootstocks : Volkamer lemon "VOL" ( C. volkameriana), Sour orange "SO" (C. aurantium ), Troyer
citrange "Tr.C" (C.sinensis x P. Trifoliata ) and Cleopatra mandarin"CLEO" ( C. reshni) to study
effect of some natural treatments i.e., : Diatoms, Magnetized water , Bread Yeast extract , Moringa
leaves extract and GA3 in seedlings bio- chemical and minerals contents in compared to the
untreated one ( the control ) . Results revealed that, most of natural extracts treatments under study
positively improved stocks seedlings bio- chemical and minerals contents. Diatoms treatment
significantly increased: shoots dry matter %; leaf K, Mg and Mn contents. Magnetized water
treatment statistically increased: leaf Chl.a; tot. indoles and Phenols . Yeast extract treatment
significantly increased: leaf dry matters % and leaf N contents. Moringa leaves extracts treatment
significantly increased: shoots dry matter content; Chl.b; tot. Chls; tot. Carotene; stem tot.
Crbohydrates and leaf: P; K; Mg; Fe and Zn contents. Finally, GA3 treatment statistically increased:
Chl.a; Chl.b; tot.Chls and leaf: Mg and Mn. for both seasons of study. As for stock seedlings
responsibility: data clear that natural extracts treatments significantly increased: VOL seedlings: leaf:
P; K; Zn and Mn content. Also, SO: seedlings leaf: Carotene; P; K and Zn contents. Tr.C. seedlings:
leaf and root dry matter content; Chl.a; b and tot. Chls; stem Carbohydrates content; leaf Indoles and
Phenols and leaf: P; Mg and Fe contents. Moreover, CLEO. Seedlings: number of leaves; stem dry
matter; leaf Carotene; Indoles and Phenols and leaf: N; Fe and Mn contents. |
