Abstract:

TheAimofthisstudywastoevaluatetheeffectofusingsaline dressingversuscoolboiledwateronepisiotomywoundhealingamong postnatalmothers.TheresearchDesignusedforthecurrentstudywas quasiexperimentaldesign.Thestudyconductedatpostpartumunitof obstetricsandgynecologydepartmentatBenhaUniversityHospital.A Simplerandomsamplethatconsistedof100postnatalmothers(50 mothersinthesalinegroup&50mothersinthewatergroup)whohad episiotomyrecruitedinthisstudy.Datawerecollectedthroughthree maintools:structuredinterviewingquestionnaire,REEDAscaleand Followupsheets.Theprocedurepassedthroughthreephases; interviewing,evaluatingandFollowup.TheResults:revealedthatthere wasahighly statisticalsignificantdifferenceregardingthe Mean±SD of REEDAscaleforwoundhealingatthirddayandseventhdayof postpartum(p
