| A COMPARATIVE STUDY IN THE EFFECT OF VISUAL DRAMA ON FUTURE SELF CONCEPT FOR THE CHILD
IN RURAL AND URBAN
Development is the nature law its eternal covenant, but it has some gabs which may be a basis for a new phase of conflict and dialectic, this in turn makes new development.
Therefore , the current era characterizes by some frequent and quick changes which led to many problems and psychological conflicts which are faced by the person in his communicating with other , This makes the life as a social competition in which person should has high level of sensitivity for helping him to face this competition by the required social skills.
Media is considered in our current era a civilized power which has an effect on the society, It expresses the society circumstances whether they are political social or economic hahinaz Talat P . It has an important role in forming the social reality , and it send systematized picture to the social world which gives the attended a bias basis for translating the social realty with its values, social criteria and social roles and relations ageh amann P.
Confirms that visual media has an important role in developing the child's personality by giving him knowledge and understanding of social , materialistic surrounding world and making attitudes on his self idea Mona abr.
Child is born with disability for facing the surrounding world so he depends on others. Thus , the social atmosphere which surrounds him since his birth is very important in shaping his personality Lowis Mileka, et al, P , The child comes to life with access able potentials to the society permits some behaviors and refuses others, We should refer here to the individuals desire to be as others although in some phases he tries to be distinguishable , In the both cases, others are considered his basic reference, Individual always stands in social context where he is affected and makes effect, this returns to geshtalt law which requires part to be in whole .
Michael , confirmed that children learn to be like successful characters whom they see in television's stories , Therefore, what are introduced like Arabic films from different kinds and models of social behaviors is one of the elements that plays an important role in shaping child who imitates the successful models, The successful means the model which takes a reward for his behavior even if this behavior is not normal , more than the model which does not take any reward Bandura.
Therefore there is a danger in introducing negative models which escape from reality in different means, like alienation and fanaticism this affect the child in the future.
There is no doubt that life in country is different than city in social relations role and the parental pressure on the generation Hasan EL-Fangary ,P . The city life makes people aliened although their spending abreact deal of time in work , with each other added to that noisy and crowdies Trope, P . But in country the situation is different with the calmness and good relations, in addition to the country side atmosphere which is far from pollution and crowdies. This in turn refers to existence of differences in some traits of personality in both.
These environmental effects helps in shaping the individual's personality, Thus the motivate to this study has been risen because of the role played by the visual drama in shaping the child's ambitions.
The need for choosing group of visual drama works has been risen whose characters have high percent of future self concept, Through noticing these character's behavior, the child can acquire new behaviors which he has not experienced before.
The study problem is shown in the following question:
1- What is the effect of visual drama content on the children's future self concept in country and town?
2- What is the effect of visual drama content on the males and females children?
The importance of this study is due to the childhood importance as a phase. This is shown in the current society attempts for taker care teaching its children because child id what the current generation prepares for the coming generations.
The importance of this study also is due to its sharing in analyzing and understanding the role played by visual drama which is characterized by some distinguishable characteristics like gathering vision and sound this makes it one of the most dangerous media in its effect on audience especially the young ones.
Therefore, this study aims at identifying the effect of visual drama on children's future self concept in country and city.
In Chapter One: The researcher presented the study introduction the problem, significance of the study, the purpose, definitions of terms and limitations.
In Chapter Two: The researcher presented the theoretical background which included the following basic concepts.
First: The self concept.
Second: The visual drama.
Third: The effect of presenting visual drama to child.
In Chapter Three: The researcher presented review of literature and related studies (Arabic – English) which were divided into five main cores:
1- Studies that dealt with the self concept and its relation to positivism.
2- Studies that dealt with the self concept and its relation to ambition.
3- Studies that dealt with the self concept and its relation to persistence.
4- Studies that dealt with the future self concept.
5- Studies that dealt with television effect on child.
At the end of the chapter, the study hypotheses were presented as follows.
The study Hypotheses:
1- There are statistical significant differences in the scores of future self concept between the country male experimental group and the country male control group in favor of the experimental group.
2- There are statistical significant differences in the scores of future self concept between female country experimental group and the country female control group in favor of the experimental group.
3- There are statistical significant differences in the scores of future self concept between the city male experimental group and the city male control group in favor of the experimental group.
4- There are statistical significant differences in the scores of future self concept between the city female experimental group and the city female control group in favor of the experimental group.
5- There are statistical significant in the scores of future self concept between the country male experimental group and the country female experimental group in favor of the male experimental group.
6- There are statistical significant in the scores of future self concept between the city male experimental group and the city female experimental group in favor of the male experimental group.
7- There are statistical significant in the scores of future self concept between the country male experimental group and the city male experimental group in favor of the city male experimental group.
8- There are statistical significant in the scores of future self concept between the country female experimental group and the city female experimental group in favor of the city female experimental group.
9- There are statistical significant in the scores of future self concept between the country male experimental group of reapplying direct watching of Arabic films and the same group in following up in favor of the following up.

In chapter four: The researcher has presented the procedures this includes.
First: The sample:
The sample of the study included (80) pupils in fifth primary. 20 male pupil, 20 female pupil in the country and 20 male pupil, 20 female pupil in the city , their age ranged from ( 10 – 12 ) .
Second the tools:
1- Piloting opinion from.
2- Scale for future self concept prepared by the researcher.
3- Content analysis from (analysis items – rules – units) prepared researcher.
Third: The study procedures:
1- The form was applied by the researcher on ( 420 ) pupils, 109 male pupil and 105 female pupil in tanan primary school in Qaliub directorate, this represented the country and 106 ( male ), 100 ( female ) in manshiet El- Bakry primary school in Misr El – Gideda district, this represents the city, pupils the was more than ( 12 ) and less ( 10 ) were left, So the actual number was 325 pupil.
2- The future self concept was a administered on a sample of ( 235 ) puple in the above mentioned two schools pupils who have not completed on answers in the scale were left.
3- A sample of (80) pupil was chosen and divided randomly into visual drama watching experimental groups and control groups who are not.
4- The scale was administered on the eight experimental and control groups after direct watching to show the effect of visual drama on the future self concept.
5- The scale ( of future self concept ) was administered on the four experimental groups in following up the effect of watching after three months of direct watching of visual drama to show the extension of the effect of visual drama watching on future self concept.
6- The appropriate statistical methods were applied for interpreting results.
Fourth: The statistical method:
1- Anova
2- Tokey test.
In chapter five:
The researcher has presented the results which confirmed the study hypotheses, as following:
1- Results of the study have shown the effectiveness of visual drama watching in developing children future self concept whether in country or city after applying direct watching and in following up.
2- Results of the study confirmed that visual drama watching makes more improvement in male future self concept than female whether in country or city after applying direct watching and in following up.
3- Results of the study confirmed that visual drama watching makes more improvement in male and female future self concept in the city than in the country after applying direct watching and in following up .
