Abstract: |
Induction of chronic renal failure in rats by cryosurgery method result¬ed in weight loss, high levels of blood urea and serum creatinine and low survival rates. Injection of verapamil subcutaneously at a dose of 0.1 ug/ gram body weight twice per day showed a protective effect on the progres¬sion of chronic renal failure as represented by a decrease in body weight loss, lower blood urea and serum creatinine levels and higher survival |
