This study aimed at making a programme based on the corrective reading for developing the indicators of primary stage pupils. To achieve this aim, standard of reading and its indicators and also rubrics of suitable evaluation for primary stage pupils have been defined also a programme based on the corrective reading for developing the indicators of third year primary pupils in the light of standards reading has been made. After that we made a test in the light of standards of reading and rubrics . Also we chose a sample of pupils of third year primary and made a test on them. Then we divided them into two groups:
1- experimental groups :study the programme based on the corrective reading.
2- the control group: study the traditional programme after that, we made this test again on pupils of both groups. Experimental and control group. Data has been collected and manipulated statistically: there was an important set of results for this study: there were difference with statistically significance at the level of 0.01 between the average performance of the experimental and control group pupils in reading test in the light of its post standard totally for pupils of experimental group. This means that there is more increase in the indicators of the experimental group pupils who studied the program based on corrective reading than pupils of control group concerning reading including (defining language signs and comprehension critical reading in the light of what the study scored, there were sets of propositions which can be applied in the field of learner Arabic language and developing reading performance such as supporting practicing corrective reading with its activities and strategies including relizing the relationship between the letter and the sound, fluency and reading comprehension to increase learner's effectiveness and his activity in learning reading and encouraging correcting mistakes which pupils of primary stage make in learning reading.
