Abstract:

Tractor ride comfort is very important aspect to increase the driver's work rate. In this work three types of tractors are selected to evaluate the tractor ride comfort. Different types of soil surfaces in Shusha area, Minia, Egypt are employed in this study, and the tractor seat locations are also studied. Comparison between experimental and theoretical results is carried out. The results indicated that the Romanian tractor gives better ride comfort than the other types. The position of the tractor seats is important to improve the driver ride comfort. The greatest body acceleration is obtained from the gravelly road, therefore, the ride comfort decrease.
