The main objective of this research is to measure the impact of digital transformation on the creativity of employees considering the nature of the organizational structure in banks. To collect primary data, a questionnaire was designed with three metrics: digital transformation scale, organic nature of organizational structure scale, and the employee’s creativity scale, as well as the necessary tests were carried out to evaluate reliability and validity of these scales. The questionnaire was directed to a sample of employees working in banking jobs in the headquarters of governmental commercial banks (Commercial International Bank CIB, Arab African Bank, HSBC Bank, Bank of Alexandria, Qatar National Bank Al Ahli QNB, National Bank of Kuwait NBK, Bank Audi, Credit Agricole Egypt, Faisal Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD). in Cairo governorate. The sample size was 379 employees. The tests were conducted to assess the validity and reliability of the research variables scales.
The findings showed a statistically significant positive effect of digital transformation on employee’s creativity. Also, it was found that there was a statistically significant positive effect of digital transformation on organizational structure’s nature. In the same context, the research found statistically significant positive effect of the nature of the organizational structure on the creativity of employees, The findings also showed a statistically significant positive effect of digital transformation on employee’s creativity considering the mediation of the nature of the organizational structure, and the effect of mediating the nature of the organizational structure in the relationship between digital transformation and employee creativity was partially mediated.
