Abstract:

The aim of this study in to nature of relationship between the habits of mind with adjustment among of sample of academic overachievers and underachievers high school students . The sample of the study consisted of (200) mal and female, two scales for habits mind and adjustment . The results of the study turned out to be: There is positive relationship of statistical reference between habits mind and adjustment among sample of academic overachievers . There is positive relationship of statistical reference between habits mind and adjustment among sample of underachievers l. There are differences with statistical reference between habits mind among secondary students as classified clever or normal and as to the stream scientific or literate in favors of clever scientific students than literate clever ones and more over than normal students in scientific and literate stream . There are differences with statistical reference between adjustment among secondary students as classified clever or normal and as to the stream scientific or literate in favors of clever scientific students than literate clever ones and more over than normal students in scientific and literate stream. The study show that the average scores of all students degrees on habits mind is related to adjustment in schools at alpha ( ,01 ) . Findings of this research have been discussed in the light of theoretical background.
