Abstract:

The phenomenon of child labor – which has begun to take its way to the Egyptian society, has become one of our most important developed and challenging problems at the same time; a problem which has increased day after day and it was so clear in the results of some of the statistics of the workers in the work sectors which reveals, at first glance, the high numbers of working children in the age from 6 to 12 years. Regardless of the perceived, unplanned rush in the number of working children in Egypt in the above-mentioned slide in question, the phenomenon calls for attention. This is mainly because it has special features, the most important of which are: the inadequate wages and inappropriate places in which these children carry their industrial labor as well as the exploitative style in which they live.
