Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the team from the Faculty of Engineering at Shubra has won first place in the Arab Biotech Innovation Competition 2025. The competition was held as part of the 11th Arab Conference on Biotechnology at the National Research Centre in Egypt and was organized by the Arab Association of Biotechnology, one of the scientific associations emanating from the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils.

Benha, Egypt – Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the General Administration of Scientific and Cultural Relations, under the University's Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, has opened nominations for the Benha University Awards 2026.

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, announces the opening of applications for the first call of the program "Establishment of Joint Research Laboratories Between Egypt and China," aimed at enhancing long-term scientific and technological cooperation between research institutions in both countries.

Prof. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Ayman Attiya, Governor of Kalyobiya, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and MP Ahmed Badawy, Head of the Communications and Information Technology Committee in the House of Representatives, inspected the Digital Egypt Innovation Center "Creativa" at Benha University. They were accompanied by Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Heba Saleh, Head of the Information Technology Institute, and several leaders from the center.

"El-Gizawy": Dedicated to fostering innovation and talent

Prof.Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communication received Benha University delegation under auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed , Benha University President to study establishing Digital Innovation Training Center . Benha University delegation also included Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs and Dr. Hala Helmy Zayed , the dean of Computer and Artificial Intelligence Faculty.

Researchers and entrepreneurs from Egypt are invited to apply to “Regional Innovation Factory 2020: From Research to Market”, a 4-month full-fledge virtual acceleration program by Berytech under THE NEXT SOCIETY's Tech Booster Program, allowing them to turn their innovative technology projects into successful businesses.

Benha University Council in its session that was held under presidency of Dr Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President , Prof.Dr Hussein El Maghraby, the University Vice-president for Education and Students ' affairs , faculties ' deans and other members of the council have approved to form a committee to study establishing the first technology transfer and innovation company in Benha University. El Saeed confirmed that the company will be subjected to the new investment law. On the other hand, the committee will be under presidency of Faculty of Engineering dean, Faculty of Commerce dean, Faculty of Applied Arts dean and Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence.

In unprecedented step in the history of the Egyptian Universities, the Bonuses law of the sciences and innovation technology has been issued by the parliament to improve the scientific research in Egypt

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-kady, the university president decides to pay one million Egyptian pounds to establish the innovation center. EL-kady says that Benha University seeks to be a productive university that excels in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. El-kady asserts that the innovation center seeks to register the patents and commercialize them successfully stressing that the university is keen on supporting the innovators finically.

The UK's Scientific Research and Innovation fund in Egypt, Newton Mosharafa Fund, in partnership with the UK's Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) and Egypt's Science Technology and Development Fund (STDF), is delighted to announce an opportunity for 15 innovation driven researchers to participate in the «Leaders in Innovation Programme«.
Call is now open until 30 December 2017.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president stresses on the faith the university has in the power in youth who can develop the homeland. EL-kady says that the unquestioned faith in the youth's ability for invitation and creation leads us in the university's council to establish the first center of innovation and creation in the Egyptian universities.

The Work Programme 2018-2020 of Horizon 2020, the EU's Research and Innovation funding programme, was launched by the European Commission in October 2017.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady holds a meeting in the presence of the vice presidents, the faculties' deputies, the faculties' members and the heads of the departments and he discusses the results that the Benha university students achieved in the presidential initiative of the technological innovation. This event is attended by university president, the President, the prime minister, other ministers and the universities presidents.

Le professeur Elsayed Elkaddi - Président de l'Université de Benha a participé à l'ouverture de la deuxième Conférence internationale « Vers la construction de la société égyptienne de la connaissance et de l'innovation », organisée par le Comité de l'informatique au Conseil Suprême des Universités qui dure deux jours et se tient à l'Hôtel Sémiramis - Cairo.

Under the auspices of prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president and at the presence of prof.Dr. Gamal Ismail, the vice president of community service and environment development, prof.Dr. Ghazi Assasa, the university president chancellor of information technology, Benha University organizes the course of enhancing the abilities of the universities students in the fields of technological innovation and entrepreneurship. This course will be held in cooperation with the technological innovation center at the ministry of communication and information technology for one week.

The technological innovation and entrepreneurship center announces the Egypt Innovate ICT Award to be given to the innovators in technology and communications. In the frame of cooperation between the Academy of scientific research and technology and Benha University and the state's endeavor to develop the scientific research in Egypt in addition to enhancing the policies of science and technology, the Academy of scientific research and technology forms the committee of the Egyptian science, technology and innovation observatory officials. Prof.Dr. Ahmed Atia and prof.Dr. Islam El- Sharawy were chosen to represent Benha University.

Under the auspices of Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-kady, the university president and prof.Dr. Khalid Esawi, the general coordinator of students' activities and initiatives, the technological and scientific activity administration at Benha University has obtained the second place in the technological innovation realm.

Benha University organized a workshop about the research plan in the university in the light of the national strategy of innovation and technology 2015-2030. This workshop was held under the auspices of prof.Dr. Hesham Abu-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and research. The workshop was held in the presence of prof.Dr. Maher Hasb-EL-Naby, the university president chancellor of scientific research and the faculties' deputies of post-graduate studies.
