In the frame of "Culture combines Civilizations" Week which has been organized by the Students’ Union of Benha University; Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President received Patricia Kabra, the Counselor for Press and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo in the presence of Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rajeh, the General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; and Dr. Eman Mansour, the Manager of Information Center at the U.S. Embassy.
Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din confirmed that the Week of Civilizations at the University aims to disseminate the culture of openness to the foreign world between students for increasing the mutual understanding of the values of difference and accepting the mutual cooperation as well as seeking to the moderation and flexibility throughout viewing the different and various civilizations and training students on understanding the different viewpoints.
He also said that the cooperation ways in the field of developing a training center for English at the University have been discussed. He also referred to the technical support which is provided for English Department at the Faculty of Law which will be started at the next year.
