Cooperation between Benha and Ain Shams Universities with ARC

Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President; Dr. Mahmoud Al Metiny, Ain Shams University President; and Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Agricultural Research Center "ARC" President have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the joint scientific and research projects in the fields of veterinary medicine and agriculture.
It is worth mentioning that the MoU has been signed in the presence of Dr. Ayman Farid Abou Hadid, the former Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; Prof. Dr. Hussien Almaghrabi, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students` Affairs; Prof. Dr. Randa Mustafa, Benha University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs; Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs; Ms. Samia Abdel Hamid, Benha University Secretary General; Dr. Mohamed Ghanem, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Moshtohor; Dr. Ahmed Galal, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Ain Shams University; Dr. Mumtaz Shaheen, the Director of the Animal Health Research Institute; Dr. Emad El Shahid, the Coordinator of ARC; and Dr. Mohamed Saad, the Director of the Veterinary Serum and Vaccine.
The MoU comes within the framework of Egypt's 2030 vision for sustainable development and supporting the state's efforts in implementing a number of giant national projects for aquaculture and the million and a half acres project as well as the development of livestock and other projects that the state supports in order to achieve food security of strategic commodities for citizens.
In this regard, Dr. Gamal El Saeed said Benha university is keen on enhancing the constructive cooperation with the Egyptian universities, research centers, civil society institutions and the industrial entities to improve its performance and products for serving the local community by providing all forms of technical support to these institutions and linking the scientific research with industry as well as working to solve community problems and develop the environment.
On the other hand, Dr. Mahmoud Al Metiny expressed his happiness for the cooperation with Benha University and ARC, noting that the MoU aims to enhance the mutual cooperation between all through training students and developing the scientific and applied researches that serve society and the environment as well as developing professional skills of students to qualify them for the labor market.
