The minister of higher education presides over the supreme council of universities at Benha University's premise in El-Obour city

The supreme council of universities holds its regular meeting under the presidency of prof.Dr. Khalid Abd EL-Gaffar, the minister of higher education, on Saturday, in at Benha University's premise in El-Obour city. The meeting is done in the presence of prof.Dr. Mohamed Latif, the meeting secretary and the meeting members.
The meeting heartily thanks Benha University, under the presidency of prof.Dr Gamal Sosa, for their host.
The minister also stresses that all universities are ready for the second semester exams 2021-2022 and the faculties' members should be committed to regular attendance to make sure that the exams are up and running.
He also adds that the students should stick to the precautionary measures in the campus so as to be able to conduct the second semester exams 2021-2022. These measures include the mask, the social distancing, their own stationary and leaving the campus after conducting the exams. The measures aims to keep the students safe and sound and he orders that the emergency status should be on alert in the university hospitals.
The minister orders that results should be quickly announced after the exams in addition that the results or regular assessment report and the latest comprehensive updates of higher education system should be submitted. The curriculums, the digital transformation programs and the research plan should be also updated. He also says that the societal participation of the universities into “decent life” initiative should be fully implemented.
Prof.Dr. Adel Abdel Gaffar, the media consultant and the official spokesman of the supreme council of the universities says that council watches Dr.Ramy Iskandar's presentation about the faculties' members training to use Thiniqi program of the Egyptian knowledge bank so as to be used in the academic year 2022-2023. It's noteworthy that the minister orders to be informed in a regular report about this.
The official spokesman adds that the council watches Dr. Karim Omara's presentation about the E-exams in the medical faculties in the governmental universities and the minister orders to be informed in a regular report about this as well.
He also says that the council discusses a report about the universities' stance of implementing the ministry's plan to spread out the proper thoughts and get rid of the bad effects of the radical behavior. This is done in accordance with the efforts of the state to get rid of the radical behaviors that go in contradiction with the Egyptians' traditions and manners. The minister stresses that the universities should spare no effort in this regard.
The official spokesman says that the council approves the following:

  • To participate in the youth completion in Egypt programs of family planning, innovation and entrepreneurship support in the field of healthcare, youth potential support and various initiatives support. 
  • Establishing the faculty of science in Luxor University.
  • Establishing the university hospital in port-Said university.
  • Getting the technological faculties in the universities and the Sino-Egyptian faculties into Suez Canal University.
