The Governor of Qalubia and the President of Benha University witness Al-Azhar Al-Sharif's celebration of Al-Azhar's Annual Day

Major General Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia and Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University President witness Al-Azhar Al-Sharif's celebration of Al-Azhar's Annual Day which coincides with the founding of Al-Azhar Mosque on the 7th of Ramadan, 361 AH and 972 AD.The celebration was held in presence of Dr. Gamal Sosa, Acting President of Benha National University, Sheikh Saeed Ahmed Khidr, head of the central administration in Qalyubia Al-Azhariya , a number of the Parliaments 'members, a number of executive, popular and security leaders in the governor and the representative of the Egyptian family house.
During his speech, the governor stressed the status of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as a mosque and University in Egypt, in the entire Arab and Islamic world, as Muslims around the world consider it the beacon of Islam and the platform of religion and science, especially in times of concepts confusion and attempts of misinformation at the present time. For his part, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, congratulated the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif on the occasion of the celebration of the annual day of Al-Azhar Mosque and the 1084th anniversary of its founding and establishment, and the great role it has played over all these years in preserving the religion and Islamic heritage.El Gizawy also praised Al-Azhar Al-Sharif scholars' and academics' it includes in all fields. The President of Benha University praised the role of Al-Azhar University at the local, regional and international levels in spreading moderation, tolerance and upholding the values of citizenship.
