El-Gizawy: We are keen to expand the cultivation of strategic crops to provide Food Security for Citizens

Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, confirmed that the University adopts the model of the productive university within the framework of the service and societal role which plays through participation in expanding the cultivation of strategic agricultural crops and contributing to bridging the food gap and providing food security for citizens.
This came during the extensive tour conducted by the University president to inspect the summer season inside a number of farms and agricultural crops at the Faculty of Agriculture in Mashtohar, accompanied by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zabalaway, the Faculty of Agriculture dean, Dr. Ihab Farid, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and faculty members. During his tour, El Gizawy confirmed that this year there has been an expansion in the cultivation of a number of important strategic crops that are used in a number of industries, including oils and fodder. He also added that Benha University uses scientific research to increase agricultural crop production and overcome climatic conditions.
