Minister of Higher Education visits the New Benha University Hospital

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, visited project of the new Benha University Hospital this Saturday morning to follow up on the status of the implementation works, in the presence of Major General Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Dr. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, Dr. Gamal Sousa, Acting President of Benha National University, and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate in Qalyubia Governorate. The Minister enjoyed a detailed presentation on the design of the new University hospital, which is being built next to the current University hospital, on an area of 9042 square meters, and consists of two basements and 7 repeated floors. The hospital is scheduled to include an emergency department, a clinics department, which includes 30 diverse clinics in various specialties, and a laboratory department.
During the visit, Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed that the ministry pays great attention to developing medical and health services in university hospitals; as they are one of the main pillars in providing health services to citizens, alongside the Ministry of Health hospitals, in addition to their educational and training role in preparing highly qualified doctors. The minister also praised the unprecedented development witnessed by these hospitals, and he also thanked the unlimited support of the political leadership for these hospitals which resulted to trust of citizens due to the distinguished health services provided for them. The Minister praised the regularity of the implementation work in the hospital according to the previously specified timetables, stressing the need to adhere to the agreed technical specifications, noting that the hospital represents a strong addition to the health care system in Egypt. For his part, Major General Abdel Hamid El-Hagan stressed that the new University hospital will be a strong addition to the healthcare system in Qalubia Governorate and to serve the people of neighboring governorates, pointing out the political leadership 's interest in upgrading the health system, noting important role of university hospitals that work side by side with the Ministry of Health hospitals. On the other hand, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy stressed that the development work being carried out by Benha University Hospitals to increase capacity and provide distinguished services are according to the directives of the political leadership to develop the Egyptian health system and to raise the efficiency of university hospitals, pointing out that Benha University Hospitals play a major role in providing health services to the people of Qalubia Governorate and neighboring governorates. He also added that the new University hospital will include many medical specialties, which will contribute to improving the health services provided to citizens, in line with achieving Egypt 's Vision 2030.
