In the presence of Minister of Higher Education: Benha University President signs a cooperation protocol to establish Greater Cairo Region Universities Alliance

In the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, signed the protocol for establishing the Greater Cairo Region Universities Alliance, which includes Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Helwan University, Benha University, Al-Azhar University, and a number of private and civil universities. The President of Benha University said that the alliance aims to achieve actual integration between the elements of the higher education system and industrial institutions and to bridge the gap between academic programs and the actual needs of each region, in addition to contributing to advancing development rates in the Greater Cairo region through cooperation between the universities of the alliance and presenting creative ideas and solutions that serve the issues of national industry and allocating a number of scientific researches to support and develop industries, which achieves the optimal investment of sustainable centers in universities.
El-Gizawy also added that the alliance works to employ the capabilities of academic, human and scientific institutions to serve all development needs that faces the Greater Cairo region by linking knowledge and innovation outputs to the state 's priorities, and to qualify graduates to be able to meet the needs of the labor market, within the framework of implementing the state 's vision to achieve sustainable development "Egypt 's Vision 2030". On the other hand, Prof.Dr.EL-Sayed Fouda, the Vice President of Community Service and Environment Development Affairs explained that the alliance has developed a plan to launch a number of comprehensive development convoys in which the efforts of the alliance 's universities are combined to serve the various areas most in need, serve citizens, provide examination and treatment services, and perform surgical operations for deserving cases.
