Benha University Hosts a Delegation of Experts from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, emphasized that the university's vision and strategy include identifying and evaluating the activities of international organizations and institutions to obtain an external perspective that contributes to maximizing the benefits from available opportunities, enhancing its position in international rankings, and keeping pace with global developments in advancing higher education systems.
In a related context, Dr. Tamer Sameer, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. El-Sayed Foda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, received a delegation of experts from the OECD led by Dr. N. Biak, as part of activating the activities of the Qatar Program for Egypt.
Dr. Tamer Sameer added that the delegation showed interest in learning about the new academic programs offered by the university, the criteria for advancement in these programs, their relevance to the job market, and how to prepare distinguished graduates capable of competing locally and internationally, in addition to the activities provided by the university to support students and encourage them to innovate.
Dr. El-Sayed Foda also emphasized the university's role in supporting and encouraging its affiliates to lead entrepreneurial initiatives, turning innovative ideas into viable projects that support the state's focus on investing in knowledge, serving the community, and achieving prosperity. He explained that the university plays a pivotal role in participating in the giant projects undertaken by the Egyptian state and contributing to presidential initiatives such as the "Decent Life" and "100 Million Health" initiatives, with the aim of promoting sustainable development and achieving integration between scientific research and societal needs.
Dr. Jehan Abdel Hadi stated that the delegation's visit aims to review higher education policies and link them to educational curricula and workforce requirements, in line with the national strategy for higher education, scientific research, and Egypt's Vision 2030. She noted that the committee will visit three other universities in addition to Benha University, with the goal of enhancing cooperation and developing academic curricula to meet the needs of the local and international markets, and achieving integration between scientific research and sustainable development.
It is worth mentioning that the Qatar Program for Egypt was signed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Matthias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD."
