To Keep Up with Labor Market Requirements: 6 New English-Language Study Programs at Benha University- Faculty of Agriculture

Benha University- Faculty of Agriculture, under the auspices of Dr. Nasser El-Ghazawy, the university president, announced the commencement of six English-language study programs for students holding high school diplomas for the academic year 2024/2025. This initiative is part of the state' s plan to introduce new programs that align with future job requirements and Egypt' s Vision 2030.
Dr. Mahmoud El-Zabalaawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, stated that the new study programs are:
1. Agricultural Biotechnology Program.
2. Food Safety Program.
3. Agribusiness Program.
4. Desert Land Reclamation and Cultivation Program.
5. Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Program (First Batch Admission).
6. Protected Cultivation Technology Program (First Batch Admission).
He emphasized that these new programs meet labor market demands and produce highly specialized and professional agricultural engineers in various scientific fields.
El-Zabalaawy pointed out that the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor is one of the oldest agricultural faculties in Egypt, established in 1911. It has the academic human resources necessary to play a pioneering role in Egypt due to its previous experiences in higher agricultural education and its involvement in numerous national projects to support the state' s role in youth employment and rural development.
Additionally, Dr. Mahmoud Maghraby, General Director of English Programs at the faculty and former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, added that the new programs come in response to labor market requirements and align with major national projects for comprehensive and sustainable agricultural development. He noted that the programs accept students who have completed high school or equivalent certifications and meet the minimum admission requirements for agricultural faculties nationwide. The faculty also accepts students transferring directly from all agricultural faculties and other colleges with relevant programs.
