Engineer Ayman Attia, the Governor of Kalyobiya, and Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, launched the fourth phase of the presidential initiative "Craftsmen of Egypt," organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university in coordination with the Kalyobiya Directorate of Education.
For his part, Dr. Nasser El-Ghizawy, President of Benha University, confirmed that the fourth phase of the presidential initiative "Craftsmen of Egypt" at Benha University is part of the university'
s participation in the national project for human development "A New Beginning for Building Humanity," which aims for citizens to benefit from all state resources fairly and effectively, and to develop services in health, education, sports, culture, and labor to achieve sustainable development and Egypt'
s Vision 2030.
The university president added that the "Craftsmen of Egypt" initiative aims to nurture a generation of skilled craftsmen in all trades, enabling them to master these crafts efficiently, which opens new job opportunities and helps them secure jobs and establish small and micro enterprises that improve citizens'
quality of life.
El-Gizawy explained that Benha University has allocated all its material and human resources to ensure the success of the "Craftsmen of Egypt" initiative in its first, second, and third phases in cooperation with the Kalyobiya Governorate and the Directorate of Education, affirming that the university continues to support the initiative in its fourth phase, which serves about 336 students distributed across faculties, programs, and specializations according to the specified timetable.
It is worth mentioning that the university faculties participating in the fourth phase of the "Craftsmen of Egypt" initiative are the Faculty of Engineering in Benha, the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, the Faculty of Commerce, and the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor. The training programs included courses on renewable energy, electrical installations, electronics, refrigeration and air conditioning, construction and finishing work, carpentry, welding, and metal plumbing, in addition to economic feasibility studies for small projects and financial statement analysis for small and micro enterprises.
The training programs also include courses on agricultural engineering, laboratory preparation, and field crop cultivation.
