During his presidency of the University Council: El-Gizawy reviews Benha University' s participation in the presidential initiative "Bidaya" and emphasizes the university' s role in shaping student character and enhancing values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland
The University Council of Benha held a meeting chaired by Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, the university president, with the presence of Dr. Ayman El-Shihabi, the Governor of Damietta and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, Dr. Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Jihan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President for Post-Graduate Studies and Research, and the esteemed members of the university council.
Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy began by congratulating the council members, faculty, staff, and students on the occasion of the new academic year. He confirmed that all preparations for the start of classes had been completed and that academic and administrative leaders, as well as faculty members, would be present in their positions from the first day of classes to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to the study schedules and the academic calendar for the year.
El-Gizawy also stressed on the university' s commitment to providing a healthy and suitable educational and psychological environment to enhance the quality of educational services offered. He directed attention to student activities and the support of talented students, encouraging their discovery in various fields.
Additionally, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy reviewed the university' s active participation in the presidential initiative for human development, "A New Beginning for Building the Human," highlighting that the university is keen to participate in all presidential initiatives supported by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, including the Bidaya initiative, which aligns with the state' s interest in comprehensive human development and achieving Egypt' s Vision 2030.
El-Gizawy stated that the university has organized several community convoys and activities involving students as part of the initiative' s events. He invited all university faculties to join the "New Beginning for Building the Egyptian Human" initiative, emphasizing the university' s role in shaping student character, fostering their belonging and loyalty to their homeland, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for the job market and future careers.
Moreover, the university president presented the annual report for the academic year 2023-2024, detailing the achievements made during that period. The annual plan for student activities organized by the university for the new academic year was also approved, along with several cooperation protocols and agreements with various local and international universities aimed at exchanging faculty members and students.
