Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced the results of the QS ranking for Arab universities for 2025, revealing that the university ranked 114th among Arab universities out of 246 universities across 20 Arab countries, and 17th among public, private, and national universities in Egypt, from a total of 36 universities included in the ranking.
El-Gizawy indicated that the QS British ranking relies on several criteria, including academic reputation, the ratio of faculty members to students, the number of international faculty members, the ratio of international students, the percentage of faculty members holding PhDs, the ratio of published research to the number of faculty members, the citation rate of research by faculty, and the university'
s impact on the internet.
The importance of this ranking is evident in evaluating programs and graduates, as the evaluation criteria serve as practical and scientific indicators for assessing universities, recognizing their programs and degrees, and continuously reviewing them to develop higher education plans and policies.
