Benha University President witnesses a workshop on interventional radiology at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center.

Prof.Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended a workshop on interventional radiology organized by the Radiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with the Medical Skills and Simulation Center.
The event was attended by Prof.Jihan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof.Mohamed Mustafa, former Minister of Health, Prof.Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof.Ashraf El-Mashad, Director of the Medical Skills and Simulation Center, Prof.Hisham Rashid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof.Hisham El-Sheikh, Head of the Radiology Department, and Prof.Amr El-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of the University Hospitals. The workshop included collaboration with professors and experts in interventional radiology from universities (Cairo, Ain Shams, Mansoura, Zagazig, and Menoufia), in addition to the Military Medical Academy, the National Institute for Research on Endemic Diseases, and the Liver Institute and Research on Endemic Diseases. It featured interactive scientific sessions and practical training for participants who are graduate students specializing in radiology.
Prof.Nasser El Gizawy emphasized the importance of developing curricula to keep pace with technological advancements and the industrial revolution, which impose challenges on us. He pointed out that artificial intelligence enhances the role of radiology by improving efficiency, transforming diagnosis, disease detection, and workflow, leading to better patient outcomes.
On the sidelines of the workshop, the university president and his companions inspected several laboratories at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center, which includes a simulation device for training on various interventional radiology skills for the radiology, neurology, and cardiovascular departments, in addition to the latest ultrasound imaging devices for training on sampling skills from different parts of the body.
