As Part of the "New Beginning Initiative for Human Development": Benha University Organizes Awareness Campaigns on Small Industries and Handicrafts at the 15 May Youth Center

Benha University continued to organize various campaigns in the villages of the governorate as part of the President' s initiative for human development, "New Beginning Initiative for Human Development."
This initiative was under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Elsyaed Foda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The event was coordinated and organized by Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, in collaboration with Prof. Walid Al-Farmawi, General Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Kalyobiya.
The Faculties of Specific Education and Applied Arts, under the supervision of Prof. Hani Shehta, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Prof. Said Al-Malqi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, organized awareness campaigns that included a series of workshops to educate the families at the 15 May Youth Center in Shubra Al-Khaimah about some handicrafts and their importance to individuals and society.
They presented some simple and easy handicraft models for the participants and taught attendees how to create these low-cost handicrafts, which included (how to make a handmade bag using canvas and thread, accessories made from beads, and making a keychain from beads).
The discussions also covered how to manage small projects.
Several faculty members from both colleges participated in the campaigns, including Professors Mohamed Massad, Rowaida Essam, and Amina Ahmed Saleh.
